It’s amazing how food can provide some of our most vivid memories of childhood. When I was twelve, I visited my best friend in Colombia, where his family had moved. I remember the mountains, the Amazon jungle, the people…but what I REALLY remember is the fresas con crema, the strawberries and sweet-sour cream, that we bought alongside the roadside everywhere we went.

After a wonderful day of paddling one of my Folbots, I always stop for ice cream on the way home. There IS a direct connection to Folbots and ice cream….plus chocolate chip cookies…:-)

I always feel sad for the poor folks that have never seen or heard of Folbots. At the beach, a couple walks past as I pull the “suitcase” for the Cooper out of my car. They come out of the dressing room and I’m carrying a Cooper. They exclaim, “Where the heck did that come from?”
I point to the bag! Ya gotta love Folbots!

Do I have to choose one? I think I have many Favorites, the cooper is fast, which I like, but I can stand in the edisto to cast to tailing redfish.
