Rainy Days and Sundays

Yesterday, I was supposed to go to the U.S. National Whitewater Center to demo some Folbots with a birding/photography group. (What a great fit for Folbots! The Edisto Fish ‘n Photo, among others, is perfect for that.) But, despite the best efforts, it never happened.

First the event was moved from one part of the Center to another — the rain earlier in the week had made it too dangerous (they didn’t want anyone to get sucked into the whitewater course… fair enough!). Then they moved it from the Catawba River to a canoe club, because access to the river had deteriorated. Then they canceled the whole thing because it was going to be 44 degrees and raining!

I had the car all packed up with kayaks and other Folbot paraphernalia, ready to go. So this is what two Folbots (a Citibot and a Kiawah) look like in the trunk of a car.

There was even room for lots more stuff.

Everyone was disappointed that they didn’t get to paddle, but it sure is easy to move the kayaks.
