Spring is a wonderful time for so many reasons. Of course it’s a great time to shake off winter and get on the water to paddle your Folbot. But there is also another spring ritual — opening day of baseball season!
We are fortunate that Folbot HQ is located in one of the loveliest cities in the world. Sure Charleston has lots of history, amazing architecture and some of the best restaurants you can find anywhere. But it also has the Charleston Riverdogs — the New York Yankees Class A baseball team.
Last Friday was the home opener…
Joe Riley, the Mayor of Charleston threw out the first pitch to Bill Murray — a Charleston resident who is also a part owner of the team. They were pretty happy about it.
It was an exciting game too.
My son even got his name on the big board.
Unfortunately, the Riverdogs were losing 8-4 in the 9th inning. But guess what? They rallied to tie it in the 9th and then won it in the 10th! Woo hoo!
Paddling and baseball… spring is really here.
