Greenland Ho!

We are very proud to be supporting an upcoming solo expedition in Greenland, over 400 miles above the Arctic Circle, by Folboter Chris Paton.

The Seven Settlements Expedition is an exciting adventure which will take Chris to seven Inuit settlements in the Uummannaq Fjord — starting and finishing in Uummannaq — and covering about 300 miles of paddling. Hazards will include icebergs, large ships, and some very cold water.

Chris will be paddling a Folbot Kodiak EXP. We finished producing the kayak yesterday. It is the exact same kayak that is available to any purchaser, with just a little decking rigging added. Here are some photos of the expedition kayak as it was produced and assembled.

  1. Hi Folbot

I am really excited about receiving the Kodiak and I really appreciate the effort the team at Folbot have made in supporting the coming expedition.

From my side I must apologize for yet another change in the blog – too many html snags! The new blog can be found here:

    I don’t anticipate any further changes! 🙂
